What is Occupational therapy

OT uses the Bio-psycho-social frame of reference, combined with standardised tests, informal and formal physical / psychological procedures and activities to assess the impact of stressors or disability on lifestyle. Treatment programs are then designed and implemented to facilitate the client to return to a normal lifestyle as possible, which increases individual independence and self sufficiency and decreases stress or burden on the family, caregiver, state or facility.
